SureFood® 4plex LEGUMES

Intended use:

The SureFood® 4plex LEGUMES is a multiplex real-time PCR for the direct, qualitative detection and differentiation of specific DNA sequences of legumes (Fabaceae), bean (Phaseolus spp. and Vigna spp.) and pea (Pisum sativum).

• Test format: 100 reactions


• Sample preparation: For DNA-preparation of raw material the use of SureFood® PREP Basic (Art. No. S1052) and SureFast® Mag PREP Food (Art. No. F1060) and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced (Art. No. S1053) is recommended.


• LOD (Detection limit): The SureFood® 4plex LEGUMES PCR has a limit of detection of <= 5 DNA-copies or 1 µg/mL (ppm) using SureFood® PREP Advanced, protocol 1. The limit of detection and quantification of the complete method (DNA extraction and real-time PCR) depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA-preparation and DNA-content.

General Information:

The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The technical verification of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q, Bio-Rad CFX96 Dx, R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER and Agilent AriaDx.
