SureFood® ANIMAL ID Pork IAAC (en)

Intended use:

The test detects pork DNA (Sus scrofa). Each reaction contains an internal amplification control and an internal detection assay for vertebrates DNA (IAAC).

• Test format: 100 reactions


• Sample preparation: For DNA-preparation the use of SureFood® PREP Basic and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced is recommended.


• LOD (Detection limit): The ANIMAL ID Pork IAAC real-time PCR is developed for the detection of pork-DNA in muscle meat mixtures at a relative amount of = 0.5 %. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA preparation and DNA content.

General Information:

The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of two fluorescence emissions at 522 nm and 553 nm at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 2.0*, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q, Applied Biossystems 7500, Bio-Rad CFX96 and Agilent Mx3005P. *note: A Color Compensation is necessary for users of the Roche LightCyclerR 2.0. The SureCC Color Compensation kit II (Art. No. F4010) must be used for the color compensation of such devices.
