SureFast® Escherichia coli Serotype II 4plex

Intended use:

The SureFast® Escherichia coli Serotype II 4plex is a multiplex real-time PCR for the direct, qualitative detection and differentiation of specific wzx gene DNA sequences of Escherichia coli O45, wbdl gene DNA sequences of Escherichia coli O111 and ihp1 gene DNA sequences of O145.

• Test format: 100 reactions


• Sample preparation: For DNA-preparation the use of SureFast® PREP Bacteria or SureFast® Speed PREP is recommended. To assess the process of bacterial growth, it is suggested to compare the samples at the beginning and at the end of the culturing (bacterial growth at Cp difference > 3). For cultivation the method of the ISO/TS 13136 is recommended.


• LOD (Detection limit): The SureFast® Escherichia coli Serotype II 4plex real-time PCR has a limit of detection of < 5 DNA copies.

General Information:

The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent AriaDx, Bio-Rad CFX96, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche cobas z 480 Analyzer, Applied Biosystems 7500 and R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER.
