Intended use:

The SureFast® Escherichia coli Serotype I 4plex is a multiplex real-time PCR kit for the direct, qualitative detection and differentiation of specfifc wzx gene DNA sequences of Escherichia coli O121, O26 and O103.

• Sample preparation: For DNA-preparation the use of SureFast® PREP Bacteria or SureFast® Speed PREP is recommended.


• LOD (Detection limit): The SureFast® Escherichia coli Serotype I 4plex real-time PCR has a limit of detection of < 5 DNA copies.

General Information:

The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent AriaDx, Bio-Rad CFX96, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche cobas z 480 Analyzer, Applied Biosystems 7500 and R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER.
