SureFast® Foodborne Pathogens 4plex

Intended use:

The SureFast® Foodborne Pathogens 4plex is a multiplex real-time PCR for for the direct, qualitative detection and differentiation of Escherichia coli virulence factors (stx1 [subtype a-d], stx2 [subtype a-g]), Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella spp.. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control.

• Test format: 100 reactions


• Sample preparation: For DNA-preparation the use of SureFast® PREP Bacteria is recommended.


• LOD (Detection limit): The SureFast® Foodborne Pathogens 4plex real-time PCR has a limit of detection of < 5 DNA copies. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA preparation and DNA content.

General Information:

The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The technical verification of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche cobas® z 480 Analyzer, Applied Biosystems 7500, Bio-Rad CFX96, R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER, Agilent AriaDx and Agilent Mx3005P.
