About Sephadex™
Sephadex™ resins are prepared by cross-linking dextran with epichlorohydrin. The resins are supplied dry, except when prepacked in columns and plate format. The resins swell in aqueous solutions (see data file). Sephadex™ G-50 is one of five different G-types ranging from G-10 for small molecules to G-75 for larger molecules. The different types of Sephadex™ resins differ in their degree of cross-linking and hence in their degree of swelling and molecular fractionation range.
